CJJ and the Kentucky SAG invite you to participate in the 2013 Southern Region Conference, “Promoting Positive Mental, Physical and Social Adolescent Health.” The conference runs October 20-21, 2013, and will be held at Galt House Hotel & Suites in Louisville, Kentucky. This conference is open to all CJJ members, from any region.

This training conference, organized in partnership with the National Symposium on Juvenile Services, will provide our members with an excellent opportunity to participate in sessions on:

• Adolescent Brain Development
• School to Prison Pipeline
• Disproportionate Minority Contact (DMC)
• New Member SAG Training
• OJJDP’s goals for the State Advisory Groups (SAGs)
• Juvenile Justice Specialist & DMC Coordinator’s Business Meetings
• Southern Region Business Meeting
• And much more!

Southern Region Business Meetings and CJJ-specific content sessions will be held on the first two days:
Sunday-Monday, October 20-21. Attendees are then invited to stay through and participate in the National Symposium from Tuesday-Thursday, October 22-24, which will consist of training sessions, focus groups, and policy discussions along eight different thematic tracks.

If you are planning to attend the CJJ Southern Region conference portion only, please select the “SAG/JJ Specialists” $65 option. This price stays the same after the early bird registration period.

If you wish to attend the CJJ Southern Region conference and the National Symposium on Juvenile Services, please select the “CJJ Regional- SAG/JJ Spec” $175 option. Please note registration rates increase on September 1, 2013 to $195.
